Scott ‘Skip’ J. Kane
ESCANABA — Scott “Skip” J. Kane, 60, of Escanaba, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022 at UP Health Systems in Marquette after injuries sustained in a cycling accident.
The youngest of five, he was born on June 2, 1962 in Escanaba, Mich., to Kenneth and Mary (Laundre) Kane. Scott graduated from Escanaba High School in 1980.
Scott worked at EMP for many years before taking his position at Stewart Components. He liked fantasy football, movies, and enjoyed all sports especially Chicago Cubs and Dallas Cowboys. Scott also enjoyed spending time with his family and he loved to laugh. He was often the life of the party.
A beloved father, brother, uncle and friend, Scott is survived by his son, Joseph (Sara) Kane, as well as siblings, Michael (Sabrina) Kane, John Kane and Jim Kane.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Tom Kane.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 1 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home, 302 S. 13th St., Escanaba, MI.
