Marilyn Jean (Farley) Sargent

Marilyn was born March 15, 1935, in Hermansville, Michigan, to George and Ethel Farley.

Marilyn lived an exceptionally healthy life. She gave herself freely to her family and friends, who always put others first. She will be remembered as a warm, affectionate person with a great sense of humor.

Her hobbies and interests included being with her ­family, gardening, baking, riding her bike and playing Bingo.

Marilyn is survived by her children, Sherrill Perkins (Robert), Dwight A Sargent (Rosalind), David Sargent, Michelle Baker (Walter), Kristy Garland (Stanley), Daniel Sargent (Jessica), Jeremy Sargent (Holly), Timothy Sargent (Melissa); 24 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and siblings, John Farley (Karen), Cheryl Gustafson (Leon), Robert Farley (Sharon), and Kathy Walters (Elliott).

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Sargent (married 61 devoted years), and her brothers, James Farley and George Farley.

A memorial celebration will be held Saturday, Aug. 27, at 1 p.m. at the Spalding cemetery. Following, there will be a gathering at Kathy Walters (Farley) home. Her address is W. 3002 Labelle Road, Powers Michigan 49874. RSVP to sargent23@hotmail.com
