Arno Robert ‘Bob’ ‘Bullet’ Bourdeau

ESCANABA — Arno Robert “Bob” “Bullet” Bourdeau, 84, of Escanaba, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at his home.

Bob was born on July 11, 1937 in Escanaba, son of Arno Bud and Ida Viola (Hill) Boudreau. He was a proud lifelong north town resident in Escanaba.

Bob served in the U.S. Army from April 2, 1959 until being honorably discharged on March 20, 1961. While serving in the military, Bob met Lucienne Irene Bach in Germany and they were married on February 1, 1961.

Bob was employed with Harnischfeger as a painter until 1983. Over the years, he had worked a variety of jobs including John’s US Gas Station, Community Action delivery for Meals on Wheels for over 20 years, delivery for Little Caesars Pizza, and he had a lawn care business in addition to many other jobs over the years.

In Bob’s younger years, he was an avid fast pitch baseball player, hockey player, and boxer. He proudly earned the title of Fly Weight, Golden Boxer Champion. He was a fan of the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Tigers, and the Green Bay Packers. He loved playing cribbage and in 2018 while playing at the Eagles he had his first 29 hand. The chances of getting a 29 in a two-player game of cribbage are one in 216,580. Bullet also enjoyed doing scratch off lottery tickets, going to the casino, going to the UPIR races, and being with his family.

Among survivors are his wife, Lucienne “Lucy” of Escanaba; children, Susan (Len) Busbani of Escanaba, Robert “Bullet” (Leilani) Bourdeau of Escanaba, Michael (Kristin) Bourdeau of Gladstone, and Eddy (Jessica) Bourdeau of Marquette; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, James “Mammy” Bourdeau, Patsy Mathe, Judy (Mark) Lippold, and Susie (Tom) Ross; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tabitha Dahl; and four brothers, Jack “Flash”, Dick “Knuckles”, Gary “Jug” and Dennis “Frog” Bourdeau.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 10 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home, 302 S. 13th St., Escanaba. Military honors will take place at 4:45 p.m. and the funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. with Pastor John Lewis officiating.
