Kevin Robert Lindblad

PERRONVILLE — Kevin Robert Lindblad, age 50, of Perronville, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital, Emergency Medicine Department, in Green Bay.

He was born in Escanaba on May 13, 1971, the son of Robert Lindblad and Janice (Fisk) Lindblad. He was a graduate of Bark River-Harris High School, class of 1989. He attended Bay College, graduating in 1996 with an associate of science degree in water purification technology. In 1998, he earned a bachelor of science degree in industrial and environmental health management from Ferris State University. In summer 1998, he completed internship with the Ingham County Health Department in Lansing.

Kevin served in the United States Air Force from 1989 to 1992, with basic training at Lackland Air Force Base followed by personnel specialist technical training at Keesler Air Force Base. He was assigned to Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, followed by Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska.

Although Kevin enjoyed watching all sporting events and followed many teams, he was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. This began at age 9 as a friendly competition with his dad. He also loved University of Michigan men’s basketball games and enjoyed watching movies.

As his health continued to decline, he always maintained an upbeat and positive attitude, accepting his plight in life. He was a devoted son, brother, grandson, and uncle and was a very kind and generous person. He loved his three nieces as if they were his own. He is already so greatly missed. He left us on his niece Lauren’s birthday, and we will continue to celebrate his life each year on her special day.

Kevin is survived by his mother, Janice (Lynn) Barker; grandmother, Jean Fisk; sister, Christa Collins (Chuck Reule); nieces, Lynsey Collins (Brett Branstrom); Lauren (Brent) Picord; and Victoria Collins; special aunt, Kathy Hanson; and several cousins, including Alicia (Pastor Andrew) Sturdy; Melissa (Kyle) Hanson; Kaylee (Kace) Lovejoy; Terri ((Steve) Fulton; and Courtney Prost; several second cousins; step-uncle, John (Peggy) Bergerson; step-aunts, Sandy (Rick) Dagenais and Debbie (Dwaine) Taylor.

He was predeceased by his father, Robert Lindblad; stepfather, Richard Barker; grandparents, Milton and Frances Lindblad and John Fisk Sr.; uncles, John Fisk Jr., and Michael Hanson; and a special great-uncle, David Fisk.

His mother expresses special gratitude to Officer Jeffery Lade of the Ashwaubenon Department of Public Safety, as well as the four EMTs, names unknown, for their extraordinary efforts on behalf of Kevin.

Visitation will be held at Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba on Wednesday, March 23, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., with services by Pastor Andrew Sturdy at 1:30 p.m. Military honors will take place at 2 p.m. Committal service will follow at the Gardens of Rest Garden Mausoleum.
