Anthony Peter Gerou

He was born April 16, 1957 in Escanaba the son of Adelore Gerou and the late Theresa (Peterson) Gerou.

Tony graduated from Escanaba High School in 1976.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1976 to 1980.

Tony married Wendy Breitzman on September 26, 1997 in Escanaba.

He loved to fish at camp on Round Lake, hunt in Cedar River and to be outside gardening, cutting grass, working on projects with Pete at the Lake, he loved kids and his dog Kalani, aka “Girlie”.

Tony had a very strong work ethic and really enjoyed his co-workers at G. Brooks Electric.

Tony is survived by his wife, Wendy; son, A. Jay Gerou; father, Adelore Gerou; brothers, Al (Cathy) Gerou, Gary (Julie) Gerou, Mark (Kerry) Gerou, and Jim (Ruth) Gerou; sisters, Mary (Joe) Harvey, Anne (John) Swedberg, Teri McMaines; brother-in-law, Will Breitzman; sister-in-law, Wanda (Bob) McMillan; mother-in-law, Sharron (Eugene) Breitzman; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Theresa Gerou; father-in-law Arnold Breitzman and Dart, his dog.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. CST at the Ortman Funeral Home in Norway.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 3 p.m. CST at the Ortman Funeral Home with Fr. Marty Flynn, pastor of St. Mary’s Church, officiating.

Interment will be held at Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells, Michigan
