Patricia Ann Menard
WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. — Patricia “Pat” Menard, 89, of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021. Pat was born on March 30, 1932 in Escanaba, Michigan, daughter of Herman and Ruth (Oliver) Polmateer. She attended St. Annes School and graduated from St. Joseph School.
Pat married Raymond “Ray” Menard on November 27, 1954. Together they lived in Escanaba, Mich., Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., Merrill, Wis., and Rhinelander, Wis. While living in Wisconsin Rapids they attended Saints Peter and Paul Church and she worked at Johnson Hills Department Store and while in Rhinelander she worked at DeByle’s Clothing Store. She enjoyed traveling with Ray and her sister and brother-in-law, dancing and playing cards with family, and her Bridge ladies. She loved her boys and her grand and great-grandchildren and spending time with them.
Patricia is survived by her four children, Raymond Jr. (Diane) of Green Valley, Ariz., Brian (Karen) of Neenah, Wis., Glenn (Ellen) of Wisconsin Rapids and Chris (Theresa) of Marathon, Wis.; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Stella (Bruce) Andrews of Escanaba, Mich., and many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband on December 13, 2015, her parents and her sisters, Lorraine, Shirley and Jean. A celebration of her life will be planned at a later date.
