Deborah A. ‘Debbie’ Colombo

ESCANABA — Deborah A. “Debbie” Colombo, 73, of Escanaba, passed away on Tuesday, October, 12, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Hospital.

Debbie was born on May 29, 1948 in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, the daughter of Tony and Helen (Fisher) Colombo. She was raised in Escanaba and graduated from Holy Name High School in 1967.

She spent many years working as a beautician, most recently at the JC Penney salon until her retirement in 2017. Debbie was a member of St. Patrick’s and St. Joseph’s Church in Escanaba.

In her younger years, Debbie enjoyed bowling and playing pool in the local pool league. She cherished time spent with her family and friends and was always eager to join in any gatherings with her cousins.

She is survived by her cousins, Daniel Johnson, Gary (Jan) Johnson, JoAnne Johnson, Marilyn (James) Henderson, Larry (Mary) Johnson, Robert Johnson, Roberta (Greg) Good, Kathy (Mike) Stannard, Patricia Jensen, and James Fisher.

In addition to her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by her special friend, Greg Begovac.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, October 30 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph and St. Patrick Church with Rev. Timothy Ferguson officiating.

Burial will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.
