Billy R. Ness

Billy was born June 8, 1930 in Everett, Washington, the son of Lester and Monica (Rondeau) Ness Sr. He graduated from the Escanaba High School in 1948. He was united in marriage to Shirley Rogers on April 18, 1952. He served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps, was a Korean War Veteran, owned and operated Bill’s Glass and Glazing for several years, was a 2 time Michigan Speedskating State Champion in the 40s, was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan, was an avid lifetime golfer, starting as a caddie in high school and enjoyed spending time with his many grandchildren, outdoor sports including hunting and fishing, painting and building model ships and sailboats.

Billy is survived by his wife, Shirley of Ford River; children, Pat (Mary) Ness of Lewiston, Minn., Vicki (Mike) Smith of Plymouth, WI, Kim Lombardi of Ford River and Sandy (Jeff) DeMarse of Ford River; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Harold (Ruth) Ness of Wilson, sister-in-law, BJ Ness of Ford River and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Betty McLaughlin, Jim Ness and Helen and Moe Ness and a granddaughter, Trina Lombardi.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
