Ann Arlene Lahti
ROCK — Ann Arlene Lahti, age 85, of 2931 West Maple Ridge 37th Road in Rock, passed away Friday evening, October 15, 2021 at Christian Park Village in Escanaba. She was born on July 25, 1936 in Ontonagon, Mich., the daughter of Leonard and Elma (Beck) Piippo. Ann was raised in Ontonagon and was a graduate of Ontonagon High School. Following graduation, she moved to Livonia, Mich. The former Ann Piippo married Ervin “Ed” Lahti on May 12, 1956 in Detroit, Mich. and he preceded her in death on March 16, 2008. Together, the couple shared 51 years of marriage and raised three daughters, Gaylene, Christine, and Alisa. The Lahti family moved to Rock in 1973 where Ann was employed at the Rock Senior Center as their coordinator. She also took great pride in caring for her husband and children. Ann was a member of the Rock Senior Center.
She is survived by her daughters, Gaylene (Richard) Campfield of Rock, Christine (Henry) Dricker of Loves Park, Ill., and Alisa (Eric) Harris of Escanaba; six grandchildren, Joseph, Marcus, Henry, Cody, Brandi, and Marissa; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ann was preceded in death by her brother, John; and sister, Libby.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, October 21, at the Rock Cemetery.
