Richard J. ‘Dick’ Frazer

ESCANABA — Richard J. “Dick” Frazer, 82, of Escanaba, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at OSF St. Francis Hospital.

He was born on January 29, 1939, in Escanaba, son of Clifford and Kathlene (Asp) Frazer. Richard graduated from Escanaba High School.

On June 1, 1963, Richard married the former Mary Butler.

Richard worked for Escanaba Concrete for many years. He also worked on the Ore Boats, Chatfield’s, and Stang Tank Liner.

He was a member of St. Joseph / St. Patrick’s Church and also a member if the Escanaba Eagles Club

Richard enjoyed hunting, gardening, tinkering and working on cars. He was a devoted father and husband who helped many others with his humble and caring ways.

His survivors include his sons, Rick Frazer of Fox Lake, Wis., Scott (Jeanette) Frazer of Galesville, Wis.; and daughter, Cindy Frazer- Langdon of Escanaba. Grandchildren from Rick include David (Brin) Frazer, Jon Frazer, Krista Frazer. Grandchildren from Cindy include Jared Langdon, and Elise Langdon.

Richard is also survived by sisters, Susan Searle and Mary Marenger of Escanaba; brothers, Robert (Nancy) Frazer of Milwaukee, Wis., Peter (Sharon) Frazer of Wetmore, Mich., Pat (Sharon) Frazer of Escanaba, Michael (Joyce) Frazer of Wetmore, Mich., and Jim (Nancy) Frazer of Escanaba; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Kathlene (Asp) Frazer; wife, Mary Frazer; brother, Bill Frazer; and stepmother, Jeanette.

The family is very grateful to Lakeside Assisted Living for their friendly and professional care.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
