Pamela Lynn Blixt

Pam was born on April 9, 1946 in Escanaba, the daughter of William and Sadie (Maki) Artley. She graduated from Gladstone High School in 1964. She continued her education at Bay de Noc Community College and was a member of the first graduating class of LPNs. Pam was united in marriage to Bryan Blixt on February 12, 1966. She is a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church in Gladstone and a former member of the Bell Choir. She was an avid quilter, master cribbage player, cookie baker, music lover, enjoyed going to the casino but mostly she enjoyed spending time with family and loved ones.

Pam is survived by her children, Kristin (Dennis) Cannoot of Marquette, Michael Blixt of Houston, Texas and Kathy (Charles) Carlson of Escanaba; grandchildren, Emily and Alex Cannoot, Joshua (Morgan), Jacob and Jordan Blixt and Grace and Noah Carlson; one great-grandchild, Shane Blixt; her sister, Marlene Lamberg, her brother, Dennis (Janet) Artley and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bryan, her parents and her sister, Judy Garnaas.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 3 from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Memorial United Methodist Church in Gladstone. Memorial services will follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor Cathy Rafferty officiating.
