Clifford A. Peach

CEDAR RIVER — Clifford A. Peach, age 73, of Cedar River, passed away Thursday morning, June 10, 2021 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay, Wis.. He was born on March 23, 1948 in Redford, Mich., the son of Clark and Ruth (Krise) Peach. Clifford was raised in Redford and was a graduate of Redford High School. Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War in Okinawa, Japan until he was honorably discharged. After returning home, Clifford attended Wayne State University in Detroit where he received his bachelor’s degree in psychology. He was employed by the State of Michigan with the Family Independent Agency for 33 years and later worked for Bay Pines as a staff trainer for 21 years until his retirement on April 1, 2011. Clifford married the former Diana Schaad on October 28, 1995. Together, the couple shared 25 years of marriage. On May 26, 1999, Clifford and Diana relocated to the Upper Peninsula, settling in Cedar River. He was a member of World Wildlife Foundation and other various animal rights organizations. Clifford greatly enjoyed the birds and wildlife at his home and was a cat lover.

Clifford is survived by his wife, Diana Peach of Cedar River; daughter, Lindsey (Adam) Ross of Huntington Woods, Mich.; two grandchildren, Hannah and Noa; brother, Marvin (Rebecca) Peach of Tecumseh, Mich.; sister, Virginia (Terry) Donn of West Bloomfield, Mich.; two stepsons, Jim Moriarty of Traverse City, Mich., and John Moriarty of Bonita Springs, Fla.; step-granddaughter, Christina (Zach) Powell; three step-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, Matthew Peach, Laura (Scott) Yarckow, Shawn (Christie) Donn, and Jodi Donn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clark and Ruth Peach.

Private burial with military honors will be conducted at the Cedarville Township Cemetery. Memorial services celebrating the life of Clifford will be held at a later date in West Bloomfield, Mich. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the animal shelter. The Anderson Funeral Homes are assisting the Peach family and online remembrances can be shared at www.andersonfuneralhomes.net.
