Dean ‘Buck’ Allen York Sr

Dean was born on September 21, 1942 in Traverse City, Mich. the son of Carl and Emma (Urban) York. He graduated from the Gladstone High School in 1960. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Bernice Schnur in Ann Arbor, Mich.I in 1967. Buck served his country proudly in the United States Army and was stationed at the Schofield Barracks in Hawaii. He worked as a millwright for General Motors in Livonia, Mich. for many years, retiring in 1991. He was an active lifelong member of the Masons and Shriners and an a vid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsmans.

Dean is survived by his children, Harold York of Novi, Mich., Dean (Janice) York of Jackson, Mich. and Christina (Robert) Tawse of Northville, Mich.; three grandsons, one great-grandson and his brother, Carl (Lori) York.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; his parents, sister, Doris Walter and brother, Louis York.

Memorial services for Dean will be celebrated by the family in July.
