ESCANABA -- Henry E. Gurosh, 73, walked on in peace on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Christian Park Health Care Center.

He was born in Escanaba on December 14, 1947, the son of Edward and Blanche (Wojick) Gurosh. Henry was raised on the family farm in Wilson. In 1966 he graduated from Bark River and then went on to attend Michigan State University where he received his bio-chemistry engineering degree in 1970.

Henry returned to the family farm after college where he worked until the age of 70 when he had a disabling stroke in August of 2018, that required nursing home care. He used his education to develop certified seed for MSU. Henry was well respected by fellow north Menominee county farmers.

He served as Menominee County Clerk for eight years.

A season ticket holder for the Green Bay Packers, he was a devoted fan.

Survivors include his sister, Irene Gurosh of Escanaba and many cousins, especially Jim and Pat Viau who helped so much with the farm since Henry's stroke. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Blanche Gurosh.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 2nd from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Chapel in Bark River. Burial will take place in Bark River Twp. Cemetery in the spring.
