Heaven gained a new angel. My brother Mike passed away last week at the age of 41.He was an incredible father, an amazing husband, an exceptional brother, a loving son and fun uncle. I promise to keep your memory alive and to love and protect your kids like you did. It’s ok that you threw forks at me when we were kids, shot me in the face with rubber bands or pushed me out of your moving truck because you were embarrassed to be seen with me at school because you made up for that by growing to be my Protector and always willing to help me when I needed you.

Suicide is real. It’s raw .It’s painful. My brother fought demons we never knew he had. He was always smiling, laughing, and goofing around. When you remember Mike…don’t think of his heartache, remember him for his smile, his love for family and the opportunity to always pull a prank on someone.

I never thought I would lose him, the pain I feel is horrible. I don’t know how to do life without him.

I will forever hold you in my heart until we meet again.

Mike will be remembered with joy by his parents Joe and Pam Patrick, sister Kelly Flagstadt (Adam), nieces Emma and Addison, wife Patty, children Brandon, Riley, MaKenzie, Lincoln and Sophie ,

A private funeral was held but we will gather for celebration of Mike’s life this summer.
