Florence ‘Lorraine’ L. Royer
MANISTIQUE — Florence “Lorraine” L. Royer, 93, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2021 at Hidden Estates Adult Foster Care Home in Manistique, Mich. Lorraine, as she liked to be called, was born in Rudyard, Mich. on March 16, 1927 and grew up in Escanaba.
She worked at St. Francis Hospital, in housekeeping, for nearly 40 years. After retirement, Lorraine enjoyed traveling, hunting, and the great outdoors. She especially enjoyed spending time with her dogs, which she spoiled every day.
Lorraine was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Joseph & St. Patrick church in Escanaba.
She was preceded in death by her parents Xavier and Rosie (Soligny) Royer and her brother Roland Royer.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at Hidden Estates for their love, compassion, and care given to Lorraine in her Golden Years.
A private committal service will be held at the request of the family at Gardens of Rest cemetery with Fr. Tim Ferguson leading in prayer.
