Hubert ‘Bert’ R. LaFave

HERMANSVILLE — Hubert “Bert” R. LaFave, 75, of Hermansville, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay.

He was born in Spalding on November 26, 1945, son of Charles and Anna (Vandermissen) LaFave. Bert attended Harris School and was a lifelong resident of the Wilson area.

Bert drove for Bark River Culvert and Equipment Company for 30 years and also worked independently as a truck driver. He was very proud of receiving a “Million Miles Award” plaque for safe driving.

Always the life of the party, Bert loved going to the casino, dancing and visiting with people. He enjoyed helping others especially making meals for friends and family. He was an outdoor enthusiast who loved going to camp, hunting, fishing and 4 wheeling. An avid Green Bay packer fan, he loved to watch the games. His greatest pride and joy were being with his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

He attended St. John Neumann Church.

Among survivors include his children, Tracy (Ron) Micheau of Escanaba, Todd (Tonya) LaFave of Hyde, Tammy (Bob) Flessati of Norway, Tricia (Ray) Webber of Wilson and Paul (Tianna) LaFave of Escanaba; grandchildren, Brittany VanEnkevort, Tatiana, Talia and Tessa LaFave, Shelby (Tylor) Demeuse, Brandon and Mercedes Waite, Axel and Chevel Webber and Elizabeth LaFave; great grandchildren, Kayden, Kaitlyn, Kendra, Kenzie, Charlotte, Scarlett, Madison, Brooklyn, Alexis and Ethan; siblings, Rita Lucchesi of Ohio, Delores Sanford of Iron Mountain, Emil (Linda) LaFave of Wilson, Geraldine LaFave of Powers, Darlene (Gerald) Gagne of Spalding, Glen (Debbie) LaFave of Stephenson, Karen (Mark) Bergstrom of Bark River; brother in law, Paul Moroni of Bark River; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Andrew “Chicky” LaFave; sisters, Lois Moroni and Lenore Klee; brother-in-law, Melvin; brother-in-law, Emil Klee; grandson, Brent VanEnkevort; and infant granddaughter, Trinity LaFave.

Please notice that a change has been made for his services. The family will be having a celebration of Bert’s life at a later day. At this time, his Mass of Christian Burial will be private.
