Jennifer Lynn Chambers
GARDEN CORNERS — Jennifer Lynn Chambers, 57, of Garden Corners, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 12, 2020, of natural causes. She was born August 18, 1963, the daughter of Raymond W. and Peggy M. (Tatrow) Harris in Manistique. She grew up and attended Fenton Catholic Schools, graduating in 1982, and spent many of her younger years visiting the Garden Peninsula. She was happy there and was excited to move to the Garden Peninsula and call it home in 2009. She married the love of her life, David James Chambers, in Las Vegas, Nev., on April 9, 2013.
Jen furthered her education at Bay de Noc Community College, and received her degree in business and was employed as a secretary in the corporate industry. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church. Jennifer loved to travel, play cards and board games, going to yard sales, collecting clothes and jewelry, working on her ancestry, attending concerts, listening to music, and of course dancing. She was a generous and giving person, never forgetting birthdays, or other holidays, especially Christmas. Most of all Jennifer loved spending time with her family and friends, especially at those special gatherings during the holidays.
Jennifer is survived by her husband, David Chambers of Garden Corners; her daughter, Taren (Thomas) Abele of Novi, Mich.; brothers, Ray (Kim) Harris of Flint, Mich., and Nathan (Irma) Harris of Katy, Texas; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She also leaves behind her beloved cats, Jacob, Lily, and Shadow. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Peggy Harris; brother, Ron; and sisters, Mary Ann Harris and Betsy Clark.
Visitation for Jennifer will be held at the Fausett Family Funeral Home in Manistique, on Friday, October 16, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Father John Essel officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in the Moss Lake Cemetery in Isabella with a luncheon to follow, at the Nahma township hall. Memorial contributions in Jennifer’s name may be directed to the family for future designation. Fausett Family Funeral Homes of Manistique and Garden is assisting the family with the arrangements.
