Richard ‘Richie’ Dixon

BARK RIVER — Richard “Richie” Dixon, 39, of Bark River, Mich., passed away unexpectedly at home of natural causes at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2020.

Richie was born May 15, 1981. He has lived in many locations over his lifetime but seemed to find his place once he came to Michigan and made it his home. Richie was not the quiet type and would always light up the room with his smile, laugh and sense of humor. He always had a story to tell. He had a generous heart and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. He enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his children whenever he could. He also enjoyed playing video games, listening to music and was a true “Oakland Raiders” fan.

He is survived by his daughter, Felicity Dixon of Union City, Tenn.; son, Atlas Dixon of Escanaba, Mich.; brother, William McCarl of Gleason, Wis.; two grandchildren; special friends, Jessica Rupp and Tiffany Bourdeau; stepdad, Jack McCarl of Gleason, Wis.: along with nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and so many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rochelle McCarl (Dixon); his grandparents, Carl Watkins Jr (Jeanette) and Wade Dixon, along with his uncle Jim Dixon.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and everyone who knew him.

It was “Richie’s” request to be cremated and these services will be provided by Skradski Family Funeral Homes.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Contributions to assist the family in memory of “Richie” may be made to the Go Fund Me Page that has been setup under his name.
