Joyce Anne Marmalick

GLADSTONE — Joyce Anne Marmalick, age 82, of Gladstone passed away on March 29, 2020 at Murray’s Country View Adult Foster Care Home.

Joyce was born June 11, 1937 in Gladstone, the daughter of Edward and Astrid (Helman) Farrell. She was united in marriage to Wayne Marmalick on July 14, 1956. She was a devoted spouse to Wayne for 43 years. Joyce was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone. She was active in all things at church and sang in the choir for years. She always put her loved ones first and was an avid golfer, collector of porcelain dolls and video movies. She had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to crochet, made blankets for everyone and made great memories for her children by cooking big family meals.

Joyce is survived by her children, Mathew (Wendy) Marmalick of Gladstone, Theresa (Rick) LaFleur of Gladstone, Marcia (Clint) Dunathan of Ford River, Patti (Dave) Nyberg of Gladstone and Mary (Denny) Darling of Gladstone; grandchildren, Jenn, Paul, Angie, Cassie, Shawna, Cara, Tony, Bryce, Maddie, David, Erik, Katie, Cory, Halie, Sara, Tommy, Steve, Chris and Cody; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Edward (Beth) Farrell II, Charles “Tuffy” (Karen) Farrell, Barb Nelson, Patricia (Jim) Brusoe and Dianne (Mick) Bergeon; sister-in-law, Maryce Farrell, numerous nieces and nephews and her lifelong friend, Bev Corbiel.

She was preceded by her husband; son, Michael (Lori) Marmalick; parents and brother, Jim Farrell.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, July 1 at 10 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church with Fr. Jamie Ziminski officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Gladstone Pavilion from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. Joyce will be laid to rest in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Joyce’s name may directed to the family for a charity of their choice.
