Cheryl Lynn Elenich

She was born in Laurium, Mich., on Jan. 24, 1972, to Frederick Elenich and JoAnne Elenich. She later became a high school graduate at Gladstone High School in Gladstone, Mich., and attended Bay Community College. Cheryl later enlisted in the United State Navy, where she met some lifelong friends; Penny Zortman, Kerri “Strawberry” Fortenberry and others she served with on her adventures. She worked at Elmer’s pharmacy as a licensed pharmacy technician for 14 years. During her time working at Elmer’s she met her life partner Larry Rochefort, of whom she spent a better part of two decades with. Cheryl enjoyed being in the outdoors, camping, four-wheeling, snowmobiling, and of course, visiting with her Uncle Mike at his camp. Cheryl was a caring soul. She was the kind that no matter what the circumstances, would always help in time of need, no matter who it was. She also spent her time talking to her Aunt Lois, and her brother Scott on the phone for hours on end.

Cheryl is preceded in death by; her father, Frederick Elenich; her mother, JoAnne Elenich (birth mother); her stepmother, Sharon Elenich; her grandparents and many aunts and uncles, cousins and other family members.

Cheryl is survived by her brothers, Brian (Holly) Elenich of Harvey, Mich., Bruce (Becky) Elenich of Citrus Springs, Fla., Scott Elenich of Battlecreek, Mich., Greg Elenich of Indianapolis, Ind., Derrick Elenich of South Range, Mich., Andrew Elenich of Aura, Mich.; nieces and nephews, Delaney and Bennet of Indianapolis, Ind., Kyle, Hunter, and Alexys of Citrus Springs, Fla.; Matthew of Minot, N.D.; Alan of Charlotte, S.C. Cheryl is also survived by her life partner Larry Rochefort of Escanaba, Mich.
