Louise Ann (Auger) Feak Weirich

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Louise Ann (Auger) Feak Weirich, 91, of Fort Myers, Fla., passed away Sunday, May 10, 2020, at the Page Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Fort Myers, Fla. She was born on Dec. 3, 1928, in Iron Mountain, Mich., the daughter of Christine Auger. Louise was raised by her grandparents, Victor and Angeline Auger, in Schaffer, Mich., and was a graduate of Escanaba High School. In 1948, Louise married Ross G. Dewar and he preceded her in death in 1952. Together, the couple shared four years of marriage and had one son, Ross. In 1952, she married Richard W. Feak and he also preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 2011. Together, the couple shared 57 years of marriage and had one daughter, Susan. Louise furthered her education at Bay de Noc Community College and transferred to Northern Michigan University where she received her master’s degree in nursing. Louise was a social worker for many years and also had a career in nursing. After her retirement, she and her husband, Richard, enjoyed wintering in Florida for a few years before becoming full time Florida residents. Louise volunteered at the Hospice House in Fort Myers, Fla., for several years. In November of 2012, Louise married H.T. Weirich and he preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 2020. She loved music and enjoyed singing in the choir at North Fort Myers Baptist Church. Louise and Richard were also members of Grace Church in Gladstone. She found joy in the summertime with warmer weather, gardening, walking and hiking, loved having picnics with her grandchildren, and enjoyed playing cards on Friday evenings with her friends.

Louise is survived by two children, Ross G. (Gail) Dewar of Tampa, Fla., and Susan L. (James “Moe”) Hermes of Garden, Mich.; four grandchildren, Sarah (Greg), Collin, David J. (Sarah), and Laura; 12 great-grandchildren, Cole, Maggie, Ryan, Ethan, Logan, Courtney, Timothy, Taylor, Josie, Madeline, Daisy, and Edwin; one great-great-granddaughter, Quinn; half-sisters, Lucienne Caron, and Suzanne Mack; and many nieces and nephews. Louise also leaves behind her very special friend of 60 years, Patricia Olson- Hollo, and also good friend, Darlene Reese.

Louise was preceded in death by her mother, Christine Mack; and two half-brothers, Richard Mack, and Thomas Mack.

Private family graveside services will be held with Pastor Paul Culbertson officiating. Burial will take place in the West Ford River Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sharon Wallace, Louise’s stepdaughter, for all of her love and care given to Louise.
