Lillian Jean Anderson

ISHPEMING, Mich. — On Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020, Lillian Jean Anderson, devoted wife, loving mother, and beloved grandmother and aunt, passed away at the age of 86 at Marquette County Medical Care Facility.?

Lillian was born July 8, 1933, in Escanaba, Mich., to Evelyn Sylvester-Ruleau and Ronald Liberty. She married Earl Anderson on Oct. 11, 1958. The couple settled in Ishpeming where they raised their daughter, Tammi. She lived a life of faith and served others as a volunteer at Wesley United Methodist Church for many years. Lillian expressed her love by making delicious meals and having good conversation over a cup of coffee and a sweet treat. She was a strong, determined, and fiercely independent woman who will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Lillian is survived by her granddaughter, Kaitlin Worzalla; son-in-law, Chris (Brenda) Worzalla; sister, Nancy (Ken) Boudreau; nieces, Lori (Gil) Dixon, Cheryl (Don) Towns; and nephews, Randy (Kris) Berhow, Glen Berhow. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Rona Berhow; daughter, Tammi Worzalla; and husband, Earl Anderson.

Special thanks to the wonderful nurses and staff at Marquette County Medical Care Facility and Teal Lake Senior Living Community, who provided invaluable care to Lillian for the last five years.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Feb. 21, at Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home on Third Street in Ishpeming at 2 p.m., Rev. Matthew Osborne officiating, with a visitation starting at 1 p.m.

Interment will take place at Gardens of Rest, Escanaba, in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial donations to the Tammi Worzalla (Anderson) Memorial Scholarship at Michigan Tech.
