Gail Marie (Ault) Mouzone
ESCANABA — Gail Marie (Ault) Mouzone, 56, passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 10, 2020, at her home in Escanaba surrounded by loved ones. Gail was born Nov. 3, 1963, to the late Paul and Marjory (Robinson) Ault. She was raised and attended school in Bark River. She graduated from Bark River High School in 1981.
Gail used to work at the Island Resort and Casino for over 10 years. This is where her love of card games grew as she was a blackjack dealer. After that, Gail became an over the road truck driver working for Schneider National, Bark River Transit, and McDermed. This is where she met her now husband, Sammy Mouzone.
Sammy and Gail married on Aug. 28, 2004, in Powers, Mich. She loved playing games like euchre and cribbage, going to the beach, and so much more. She played hard and loved even harder. With Gail there was never a dull moment, spending as much time with friends and family as she could. She always put others before herself and helped anyone in need. She was selfless.
Gail is survived by her husband, Sammy Mouzone of Escanaba; daughters, Tatiana and Elizabeth of Escanaba; adopted daughter, Randi LaMarche of Escanaba; siblings, Richard Ault of Bark River, Linda Ault and Jimmy Ault of Escanaba, Sandra Ault of Texas, and Bonnie (Ault) O’Donnell of Ohio; along with many nieces and nephews.
Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Marjory Ault; siblings, Paul George Ault Jr., Wally Ault, and Margie (Ault) Lusardi.
The visitation will be on Friday, Feb. 14, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home, 302 S. 13th St., Escanaba. The funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. with Rev. Ryan Edwardson officiating. Immediately following, there will be a potluck dinner held at the First United Methodist Church.
