Laurie L. Forshey
ESCANABA — Laurie L. Forshey, 50, of Escanaba, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, Nov. 6, 2019, at the home of her sister following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Escanaba on Sept. 30, 1969, daughter of Clara (Anderson) Forshey. She was a life-long resident and attended Escanaba schools.
Laurie loved her family and friends. She especially enjoyed getting together with them to play games and cards. She also enjoyed coloring. Laurie resided at Harbor Tower for many years where she made many lasting friendships.
Among survivors are her mother, Clara Forshey of Escanaba; maternal grandmother, Elsie Anderson of Escanaba; siblings, Tammy (fiance Tony Clark) Bartke of Escanaba, Andrew Forshey of Iron Mountain, and Jerry (April) Forshey of Holiday, Fla.; fiance Kevin Bennett of Louisiana; special friends John Fox, Jennifer Moran and the Devos family, all of Escanaba; nephews, Jonathon (Chelsea), Christopher and Zachary; and niece, Kylee.
A celebration of Laurie’s life will be held on Monday, Nov. 11, at the Harbor Tower gathering room from 4 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorials to be directed to the Crawford Funeral Homes to assist with expenses.
