David J. ‘Dave’ LaMarche

Dave was born in Chicago, Ill., on May 19, 1957, son of William L. and Arlene M. (Cousineau) LaMarche. He attended Escanaba High School.

Dave was self-employed as a mason, carpenter and a truck driver. He was a member of the mason union.

He loved the outdoors and reading his Bible. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes, snowmobiling, fishing, golfing, bowling and playing cards. He cherished most the time spent socializing with family and friends, who lovingly referred to him as “10 Block” or “Big Swampy”.

Among survivors are his father, William LaMarche of Escanaba; siblings, Dan (Roxanne) LaMarche, Deborah (Joseph) Nolde and Dale (Amy) LaMarche, all of Escanaba; five nieces and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Arlene, and his grandparents.

Visitation will be on Friday, Sept. 27, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Crawford Funeral Home, 302 S. 13th St., Escanaba. The funeral service will follow at noon at the funeral home with Rev. Francis Dobrzenski officiating. A meal will immediately follow in the funeral home dining area. Burial will take place in Gardens of Rest Cemetery.
