Carol Thoney

ALLOUEZ, Wis. — Heaven has gained a special angel with the passing of Carol Thoney.

Carol Mae Thoney, 79, of Daggett, Mich., passed away peacefully on July 24, 2019, at Allouez Parkside Village in Allouez, Wis. Carol was born Nov. 27, 1939, to the late Harry and Evelyn (Nault) Borman.

Carol lived her childhood in Escanaba. While attending the U.P. State Fair, she met her husband Nick and they later married on June 10, 1961. Nick and Carol owned and operated TO-NE-HIL Farms. Even after working long hours on the farm and raising three children, Carol was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family, most especially over the holidays. Her potato salad was her most requested dish and was loved by all. She also had a flair for crafts, canning and keeping an impeccable home.

Carol was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children, Pam, Beth and Brien, embracing every moment with them. She especially lived her role as grandma and great-grandma. Her grand and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy always putting a smile on her face. Carol was one of the most modest, caring, giving and loving ladies the world has ever seen. If there ever was an angel on earth this was Carol.

Carol’s beautiful life will be forever cherished by her two daughters, Pamela (Roger) Cole, and Beth (Jed) Comyne; one son, Brien (Haili) Thoney; four grandchildren, Ryan (Holly) Cole, Chelsea (Clint) Messenger, Joshua Thoney and Beau Thoney; four great-grandchildren, Rylie, Reeva, Sophia and Parker. Carol is surther survived by three sisters: Doris (Bill) Lewis, Joyce (Bob) Heynssens and Linda (Harlan) Dalgord, and special friend Sharon Wilson.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband Nick, parents Harry and Evelyn Borman and sisters Elaine Borman and Darlene Perlick.

A private celebration of Carol’s life will be held at a later date.
