Ella ‘Jennett’ Hamilton

ESCANABA, Mich. — Close to midnight, on Feb. 5, 2019, Ella “Jennett” Hamilton, of 1915 24th Ave. S., Escanaba, Mich., left this life to join her husband in her new life with Jesus. Jennett was born April 6, 1921, in Illion, N.Y. She met her best friend and the love of her life, Herbert D. Hamilton, in 1937. They were married at First Methodist Church, in Ann Arbor, Mich., Oct. 12, 1941.

Jennett is remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved to laugh and share her gift of gab while experimenting and creating elaborate dinner parties for friends and family. She was proud to be a part of the Central United Methodist Church family. She adored her dog Blinky and kitty Sarina. They adored her too!

Jennett is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, and sister-in-law.

She is survived by her daughter, Holly Hamilton of Escanaba; her son, Dan (Denise) Hamilton of Westland, Mich., four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Skylar, Jason, and Shayna, and four great-grandchildren, Tyson, Roman, Abagail, and Olivia, and her kitty Sarina.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 2, at Central United Methodist Church with Pastor Elise Lowe-Edwardson officiating. Public visitation begins at 11 a.m. with the memorial service at noon.

A luncheon will be served following the service. She is greatly missed. In lieu of flowers we ask for prayers of peace.
