Douglas ‘Doug’ W. Wendricks
IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. — Douglas “Doug” W. Wendricks, 63, of Iron Mountain, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. He was born on Aug. 5, 1955 in Menominee, son of Norma (Desmarais) and the late William Wendricks. On Sept. 23, 1989 he married the former Cheryl Ivey in Iron Mountain.
Doug will be remembered by most for starting Wendricks Truss Inc. with his father in 1975, which he owned and operated until 2002, then remained working as a lumber broker until his passing.
He is survived by his wife, his mother, four children, Angela (Thomas) St.Onge, Denise Kleiman, Jessica (Brian) Starnes and Lucas (Tiffany) Wendricks; two sisters, Carol (David) Arnold and Amy (Daniel) Broeders; nine grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Doug was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. CST on Tuesday, Jan. 8, at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Spalding.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:30 p.m. CST on Tuesday at St. John Neumann Church in Spalding with Fr. Jacek Wtyklo officiating. A luncheon will follow Mass in the church parish hall. Doug will be laid to rest in the Meyer Township Cemetery in the spring.
