David A. Frizzell
CORNELL — David A. Frizzell, age 79, of Cornell, passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, at the DJ Jacobetti Home For Veterans.
David was born Sept. 2, 1939, in Escanaba, the son of Alvin and Ida (O’Connor) Frizzell.
Dave, as he liked to be known, was a loving and devoted husband who was married to his wife Yu Chong for over 40 years. He was a good father who cared for his children. He loved to read, especially books by his favorite author Louis L’Amour, and he passed this love of reading on to his children. Dave was a man of little words yet what he lacked in words, he had in abundance in his love for his family, conscientiousness, work ethic, and quiet grace.
In addition to his wife, Yu Chong, Dave is survived by two sons, Michael (Samantha) Frizzell of Gladstone and Thomas Frizzell of Escanaba; daughter, Ann (Sam) Chang of Elk Grove Village, Ill.; sister, Lillian Wight of Cornell; seven grandchildren, Sasha, Rebekka, Jonah, Jude Frizzell, Jude Chouinard, Sadie Chang, and Lucy Frizzell; and one great-grandchild.
In addition to his Parents, David is preceded in death by son, Paul Frizzell; brothers, Sam and Jake Frizzell; and sisters, Betsy and Janet Deneau.
