Anita Meshigaud

She was born on July 17, 1946, daughter of Lillian (Petanquot) Ritchie. She was raised in Hannahville. She attended Gateway Technical Institute, graduating in the Culinary Program on May 29, 1985.

She was a truancy officer for Hannahville until her retirement in 2000.

Anita enjoyed going to church and going to band practice. Most of all she loved her family and loved any time spent with them.

Among survivors are her children, Adam (Erica) Ritchie of Appleton, Wis., Rosetta (Anthony) Keshick of Wilson, Mich., Michael Wells of Escanaba, Mich., Kenneth Gignac of Marinette, Wis., Deborah Gignac of Menominee, Wis., and Cody Meshigaud of Escanaba, Mich.; 17 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Her siblings are Clarence Ritchie, Patricia (Alan) Ritchie, Alita Ritchie, Leona and Dwayne.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Dan, Duncan and Jerry; sister, Nancy; daughter, Dawn Gignac; and grandson, Kenneth Gignac.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 6, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Hannahville Community Center. Services will follow on Saturday at 11 a.m. the Hannahville Community Center. Burial will take place in Hannahville Cemetery.
