BRANDENTON, Fla. — Sherri Robinson, age 55, of Bradenton, Fla. and former resident of Gladstone, passed away Monday, March 12, 2018, at her home in Florida.

Sherri was born May 13, 1962, in Escanaba, the daughter of Everett and Bonnie (Cole) Robinson. She was raised in Gladstone and was a 1980 graduate of Gladstone High School. Sherri went on to enroll at Northern Michigan University where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science and Business Administration degree in 1985.

After college, Sherri relocated to Florida and accepted a position with the Manatee County government, where she worked as an assessment coordinator for the past 30 years. Sherri loved to travel throughout the world and was well liked and deeply loved by all who knew her. She will be sadly missed.

Sherri is survived by her father, Everett Robinson; brother, Ronald (Kelly) Robinson of Gladstone, and sister, Kelly (Pete) Rasmussen of Grand Rapids, Mich. Also surviving are Sherri’s nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Lou Robinson; maternal grandparents, Dorothy and Lester Cole; paternal grandparents, Vera and Daniel Robinson, and brother, Michael Scott Robinson on March 8, 2018.

Visitation for Sherri, as well as for her brother Michael who passed away on March 8, 2018, will be held on Tuesday, from 1 to 3 p.m., at the First Lutheran Church in Gladstone. Funeral services for both Sherri and Michael will follow visiting hours on Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church in ­Gladstone, with Tom Otis, pastor, officiating. Luncheon will follow in the First ­Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall. Sherri and Michael will be laid to rest in the Fernwood Cemetery in the spring.
