Cheryl Ann Halmeoja
RAPID RIVER — Cheryl Ann Halmeoja, 67, of Rapid River, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018, at UP Health System in Marquette. She was born on April 8, 1950, in Escanaba, Mich., daughter of the late Eugene and Lula (McMillie) Coppock. On March 6, 1971, she married James “Jim” Halmeoja in Gladstone, Mich.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, three brothers, Richard (Kathy), twin brother Gerald (Donna) and Bruce Coppock; as well as many great friends, including Brenda (Dennis) Chenier.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, James, Thomas and David Coppock.
In keeping with the wishes of Cheryl, there will be no public services. Her family is celebrating her life privately at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Escanaba with Pastor Jason Janich from New Life Church in Escanaba officiating.
