Karen Marie Baumler

ESCANABA — Karen Marie Baumler, 65, of Escanaba, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017, in Bark River surrounded by her daughters following a courageous battle with cancer. Karen was born on Jan. 19, 1952, to the late Ferdinand and Rita (Dugre) Baumler. She worked at St. Vincent de Paul. Karen enjoyed cooking, dancing, singing, karaoke and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a very caring, positive, happy go lucky person whose smile could light up any room.

Survivors include her three daughters, Katina (Jeremy Felter) Larson of Spalding, Heide Larson Grondin of Wilson, and Kristen Mercier of Escanaba; five grandchildren, Dylan and Sierra Sullivan, Makenna Kurth, Aubreyella and Mattheu; three sisters, Sue (Bill) St. Vincent, Tina (Duane) Dill and Brenda (Jeff) Luft; and brother, Fred (Peggy) Baumler.

Karen was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Curtis Grondin; and two nephews, Chris Baumler and Jeffrey Dill.

Family will receive friends at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home, Stephenson, on Saturday, May 6, after 11 a.m. EDT until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. EDT. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Oakwood. Online condolences may be expressed at www.andersondiehm.com.
