Nancy L. Provo
MARBLEHEAD, Ohio — Nancy L. Provo, our beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at the age of 87 at the Otterbien Assisted Living in Marblehead, Ohio.
Nancy (LaFond) Provo was born Nov. 12, 1929, to Willard and Marcelene LaFond of Gladstone. She married her loving husband, Robert Provo of Escanaba, in 1949 and shared 65 years together. They resided in Gladstone until moving to Maumee, Ohio, where they raised their four children. They returned in 1981 to live in Rapid River. Nancy was a talented seamstress and knitter. She made many beautiful treasures for her family and also loved to bake.
Nancy is survived by her children, Mike (Pam) Provo, Marcie (Rich) Kessler, Brian (Debbie) Provo and Mary Jo (Bob) Hall; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her brother, Jack LaFond; and her sisters, Shirley Johnston and Lois Camps.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 8, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Burial will follow at the Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone.
