MANTON, Mich. – Janet Sue Schrader, 59, former Escanaba resident, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2015, at her home in Manton, Mich. She was born Oct. 7, 1955, in Escanaba, Mich., and was the daughter of Donald and Catherine (Britz) Schrader. Janet was a graduate of Escanaba Area High School in 1972 and then worked at the Robinson Furniture Factory for 12 years. Later, she lived in Apache Junction, Ariz., for 12 years and then in Manton, Mich., for the past eight years. Janet was a true lover of wilderness and peace. She was a member of the Manton United Methodist Church.
Janet Sue Schrader is survived by: Life Partner, Laura B. Irish of Manton, Mich.; sisters, Debra (William) Brunette of Gladstone, Mich., Donna Schrader (Steve Forton) of Escanaba, Mich.; brother, Donald (Diane Price) Schrader Jr. of Escanaba, Mich.; several nieces and nephews.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Catherine Schrader.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of Janet Sue Schrader will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donna Minarik officiating from Central Methodist Church. Burial will take place in Rock River Cemetery in Oakfield, Wis.
