Lloyd Lee Eliason
LAKE FOREST, Calif. – Lloyd Lee Eliason, 59, of Lake Forest, Calif., passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at his home following a lengthy illness.
Lee was born March 27, 1955, in Escanaba to Lloyd Carlton John Eliason and Audrey Marie Ann (Drossart) Eliason. He was born and raised in Escanaba and graduated from the Escanaba School District. After high school (Go Eskymos!) Lee enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Lee developed a passion for electronics. Following his enlistment, he attended Devry University in Ohio earning his bachelors in electrical engineering. Soon afterwards he found himself being recruited by Rockwell International in Anaheim, Calif. It is there, in Orange County, that he met the love of his life, Linda Thurman. The couple married Aug. 24, 1991, and they made their home together in South California.
Lee enjoyed all things electronic. He could build computers from scratch and mastered computer games. He was a true Sci-Fi Techie. He also loved the Green Bay Packers, playing pool, bowling, and eating out.
Lee is preceded in death by his mother and father.
He is survived by his lovely wife, Linda Eliason; children, Timothy Thurman and Katie Thurman; grandchildren, Henry Thurman and Mack Thurman; three sisters, Nina (Al) Marohnic, Candy (Don) Soper, and Jodi (Dave) Hurthibise; two brothers, Randy (Sandy) Eliason, and Derrick (Cheryl) Eliason; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services with military honors will be held on Friday, Aug. 8, at 10 a.m. at Fairhaven Memorial Services Chapel, 27856 Center Drive, Mission Viejo, Calif.
