Mallory McMorrow secures endorsement from former Flint mayor Karen Weaver

MICHIGAN — Today, candidate for U.S. Senate Mallory McMorrow received the endorsement of Karen Weaver, who served as mayor of Flint during the Flint water crisis.

“After speaking with Mallory McMorrow and observing how she connects with the community, I knew immediately she had my support,” said Weaver. “She truly understands the challenges families are facing across Michigan. Mallory brings the passion, courage, and clarity we need in the United States Senate. She gets it – and she is ready to fight for Michigan and for our future. I am proud to endorse Mallory McMorrow for the U.S. Senate.”

Governor John Cherry Jr., and Senate Majority Leader Winnie Brinks, as well as dozens of elected officials, faith leaders, activists, and community leaders. She has also been endorsed by the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 370, The Next 50, Vote Mama, and Nurses for America, and earned the End Citizens United “Unrig Washington” Candidate Distinction.
