Statewide Real Estate launches paid apprentice program
ESCANABA — In a bold move to reshape how new real estate agents are trained and supported, Statewide Real Estate, the oldest brokerage house in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, has announced the launch of its Real Estate Apprentice Program. The initiative is designed to give aspiring real estate professionals a clear and supported path into the industry-without the financial uncertainty and lack of guidance that too often discourages new agents.
“We’re not just offering a job-we’re offering a career with purpose, freedom, and unlimited potential,” said Christopher Gestwicki, lead agent and program coordinator at Statewide Real Estate. “Whether you’re stuck in retail, tired of rigid hours, or simply ready for something more meaningful, this program was built for people ready to grow.”
Unlike many brokerages that require new agents to operate without income while they try to learn the business, Statewide’s Apprentice Program offers paid, hands-on training from day one. Participants will gain experience in everything from customer management and lead tracking to property listings and closings-all with direct mentorship and full team support.
“Real estate in the Upper Peninsula is incredibly rewarding, but it’s fast-moving and constantly evolving,” Gestwicki added. “Our goal is to equip people not just to survive but to thrive and enjoy the lifestyle freedom that brought many of us into the business in the first place.”
The program is open to individuals with strong computer and social media skills, a genuine desire to help people, and self-driven motivation. Real estate experience is not required-only the commitment to learn and the heart to serve.
Those interested in learning more about the Apprentice Program are encouraged to stop by the Statewide Real Estate office, meet the team, and explore whether a future in real estate is right for them.
