Escanaba asks residents to reduce water use

ESCANABA -- As flooding from snow melt and rainfall overburdens systems, the City of Escanaba has asked residents to discontinue or divert sump pumps that flow to the sanitary sewer. "If you are using a sump pump, it is possible you are contributing to the flooding of your neighbor's house and/or your own home," read a press release issued Monday morning by the Escanaba Water/Wastewater Department. Fire burns attached garage on bluff

ESCANABA TOWNSHIP -- On the evening of Monday, April 6, a structure fire brought multiple departments to a residence at 6144 Woodland P.1 Ave. -- up on the bluff in Gladstone, but technically within Escanaba Township.
