MENOMINEE -- A Daggett man has been sentenced to decades in prison after sexually assaulting his then-girlfriend's 12-year-old daughter.

Travis Scott Thiry, 45, was sentenced in the Menominee County 41st Circuit Court on Friday to concurrent terms of 25 to 75 years in prison with credit for 78 days incarcerated.

Thiry pleaded no contest in August to two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct (CSC) of a person under 13 years old as a defendant aged 17 years or older. He was charged as a fourth-time habitual offender.

He will also have to register under the Sex Offenders Registration Act (SORA) and is subject to lifetime GPS tracking.

Thiry was initially charged with 11 felony counts of first-degree CSC involving a person under the age of 13; one felony count of second-degree CSC involving a person under the age of 13; one felony count of conspiracy to commit a legal act in an illegal manner; one felony count of delivering a controlled substance — a narcotic or cocaine — to a minor; one felony count of accosting children for immoral purposes; and one misdemeanor count of selling or furnishing alcohol to a minor.

According to court documents, the abuse inflicted by Thiry took pace over several months in late 2025 and earlier this year. Thiry and his then-girlfriend, Rocquel Anne Irving, 39, groomed Irving's child with alcohol, drugs and pornography before the sexual assaults.

Irving appeared in the 41st Circuit Court in July and pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree CSC involving a person under the age of 13. She initially faced three counts of first-degree CSC involving a person under the age of 13, three counts of conspiracy to commit first-degree CSC, one count of second-degree CSC, one count of accosting children for immoral purposes, one count of gross indecency between females and one count of selling or furnishing alcohol to a minor.

Irving was sentenced on Sept. 4 to 20 to 60 years in prison with credit for 219 days incarcerated, according to court documents.

During Thiry's sentencing on Friday, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Sage Karslake told the court the case was of "utter depravity."

"This is a man who preyed on a 12-year-old girl and chose to exploit her innocence, vulnerability and dependence on adults for his own sexual gratification," Karslake said. "We cannot know how it will affect her ability to trust men, establish healthy relationships, understand intimacy or feel safe around other people. We cannot measure the emotional damage of having an adult man rape you when you're only 12 years old."

Karslake requested 41st Circuit Court Judge Christopher S. Ninomiya impose a 25- to 75-year sentence, stating, "I believe that sentence reflects the gravity of this situation and spares the child victim from having to testify at trial."

In a press release, Menominee County Prosecuting Attorney Jeffrey T. Rogg commended Karslake for her work on the case.

"Sage brings a different perspective to the difficult work we do in cases with child victims. This result brings justice to the victim and, to the extent the court system can accomplish it, rights a terrible wrong," Rogg concluded.
