ESCANABA -- The Delta County Cancer Alliance (DCCA) has announced the start of their 4th annual raffle fundraiser. This is an opportunity to support the DCCA with a chance to win up to $1000.00. All of the proceeds of this fundraiser will go to residents of Delta County who have been diagnosed with Cancer.
Raffle tickets are available for purchase from any DCCA Board member or at the DCCA office, located at 1230 North 18th Street, Escanaba, MI.
Tickets are also avaiable at the office of the Daily Press, located at 600 Ludington Street, Escanaba, MI.
At this time the DCCA has over 300 active clients. They share an average of $5000.00 per month with families, friends, and neighbors who live in Delta County and have been diagnosed with cancer. Each client is eligible to receive up to $800 the first year of treatments and $500 each consecutive year of treatments to offset expenses related to their cancer treatments.
The Alliance is open Monday through Friday 1-4 p.m. The office operates with all volunteers available to provide nutritional, equipment and personal care items as well as emotional support.
