ESCANABA — The Escanaba Downtown Development Authority and local businesses encourage people to visit downtown today as Sidewalk Sales offer special deals and outdoor shopping.
Participating businesses on Escanaba’s Ludington Street include but are not limited to Nyman Jewelers, Canterbury Book Store, Young’s Menswear, The Beaten Path, Pioneer TV & Appliance, Lisa Ann, Swedish Pantry, Water Lily Gifts & Gather, Nomadic, Leigh’s Garden Winery, Grab & Go, Elevated Exotics and Dream Day Bridal.
Drivers may park on side streets and in parking lots off of First Avenues North and South. The main street is still off-limits to vehicles because of paving, but pedestrians are more than welcome along Ludington Street, where fresh new sidewalks installed this summer invite foot traffic.
“The Sidewalk Sales were delayed because of Ludington Street construction, making this a great opportunity to get back downtown, see the progress and support the businesses that have worked through a challenging summer,” states escanabadowntown.com.
