ESCANABA - Holy Name Catholic School and Holy Name High School--A Chesterton Academy will hold open houses on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Students, families, and the general public are invited to attend the open house at the grade school building (409 S. 22nd Street) to tour the new Holy Name gymnasium and locker room/athletic training area renovation.
The grade school’s open house from 4 to 5:30 p.m. allows students and parents to meet teachers, visit classrooms, find students' lockers, and drop off their school supplies.
In addition, Holy Name High School--A Chesterton Academy will hold an open House on Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Students and parents are welcome to come to meet their teachers, visit classrooms, find students' lockers, and drop off their school supplies as well. There will be a cookout at the high school for students, staff, and family members as well.
"We can't wait for everyone to see the amazing updates that our local Knights of Columbus have done to our locker rooms, new athletic training room, and gym area,” Holy Name Principal Michelle Brief said. “They have been so busy this summer making our beautiful school even more attractive, and we are so very grateful and blessed for everything they have done for Holy Name. Thank you to everyone who has donated time, talent and/or monetary donations to this amazing project."
Holy Name High School--A Chesterton Academy is located at 2203 7th Ave. South, Escanaba (adjacent to St. Anne's Catholic Church).
The 2026-27 school year officially begins for Holy Name on Monday, Aug. 31.
