The cruise ship American Patriot, one of the vessels used by American Cruise Lines (ACL), is seen at the Municipal Dock in Escanaba on Tuesday. ACL is one of three cruise lines that has made port in Escanaba this year. The others, Pearl Seas Cruises and Victory Cruise Lines, visited before, but 2026 is the first season that ACL has come to Escanaba. The company brought cruise passengers to Little Bay de Noc on July 4 and will again on Aug. 11.
A few optional activities are presented to cruise passengers who arrive ashore in Delta County. Some visit the Historical Society Museum and archives and Sand Point Lighthouse; a historical bus tour is offered; most visit the Upper Peninsula Veterans Museum and Webster Marble: Inventing the Outdoors Museum at the Chamber of Commerce; many are treated to Sayklly’s; some take a trip to Fayette.
