The bridge on FR 3303 (Dam Road) on the Brevoort River is being replaced and the area will be closed through Monday, Aug. 31 after having first been closed to public access on June 22. Closure area begins approximately 2.1 miles from Brevoort Lake Road near Moran. Visitors should expect to see heavy equipment and workers in the area, and all are advised to find an alternative route during this time.

As in all areas preparing for and undergoing construction, drivers must stay alert and proceed with caution while nearby.

This closure will not affect the North Country Trail, though the parking spot by the campsite at the end of the road will not be accessible.

Within Hiawatha National Forest’s Eastern Region, the area is part of the United States Department of Agriculture and the responsibility of the U.S. Forest Service.
