Public invited to fresh fish fry today

ESCANABA -- Today, a fish fry provided for free to the public comes to the Escanaba Marina.
The event is part of "Mi Fresh Fish Fest," an outreach program providing educational experiences related to Great Lakes Fisheries. It is hosted by Michigan State University’s Sea Grant and sponsored by the the City of Escanaba and the Daniel J. Kobasic Foundation.
The fish fry will take place at the Escanaba Marina between 4 and 7 p.m. It follows a day sail on the Inland Seas schooner, for which ticket sales have now concluded. However, the tall ship should still be visible in Escanaba.
A Saturday morning sail is offered to all K-12 teachers; another trip on Saturday afternoon has already been fully-booked, now with a waitlist at schoolship.org/buy-tickets.
