ESCANABA — The Delta County League of Women Voters (LWVDC) will host a primary candidate forum on Wednesday, July 15 at 7:00 p.m. at the Escanaba City Council Chambers, 410 Ludington Street. The forum will feature the Republican candidates for the 38th Senate Seat. The moderator for the evening will be Shannon Hereau. The public is invited to attend the forum. Audience questions will be encouraged.
The forum will consist of one segment beginning at 7 p.m. featuring Beau LaFave and David Prestin. The forum will include opening statements, audience questions and closing statements.
The forum will be streamed live over the City of Escanaba's website - https://www.dstech.net/live-streams/city-council-chambers/. The forum recording will be available on the Delta County League of Women Voters website: www.lwvdeltacounty.org, the Delta County LWV face book page: www.facebook.com/DeltaCountyLeagueOfWomenVoters and the City's Youtube channel prior to the election. The primary election will be on Aug. 4 with the polls open from 7:00 a.m. to 8 p.m. Early Voting begins on Saturday, 7/25 and concludes on Sunday, 8/2. Absentee ballots are available from local clerks.
