Island Resort & Casino threat under investigation
HARRIS — Sunday, June 28, law enforcement responded to a potential threat at the Island Resort & Casino in Harris.
The response involved the Michigan State Police, Hannahville Police Department as well as police from Menominee and Delta county.
According to MyUPNow, police issued an all-clear at 8:30 p.m. that night. However, investigations into the incident are still ongoing.The Hannahville Tribal Police Department and Michigan State Police are leading the active local investigation.
In a phone call with the Daily Press, Hannahville Police Chief Jeff Hansen stated that the response from local law enforcement was, “a great example of local law enforcement being able to come together on short order to respond to a situation.” He also stated, “it was a troumendous example of inter-agency support.”
