ESCANABA — Clog Busterz Drain & Sewer Services LLC, formally founded in April of this year, was developed to fill a gap in the local market.

Owner Phil LaMarch, Jr., entrepreneur and landlord, noticed that there was a need in the community for reliable, 24-hour drain cleaning and sewer line services.

“We understand how stressful drain and sewer issues can be, so we really focus on communication, responsiveness and making the process as easy as possible for customers,” said Executive Assistant Amanda Tiernan.

Josh Nelson, a technician with about ten years of experience, was brought on board to be the service professional. As the company grows, so will the staff.

At present, residents, businesses, landlords and property owners within approximately 60 miles of Escanaba can contact Clog Busterz for assistance diagnosing and resolving drain and sewer issues. Since opening last month, the Escanaba-based business has been informing the public about the services they offer. They’ve taken on several jobs so far, so word-of-mouth will surely help promote the brand, too.

Drains in bathrooms, floors, kitchens — whether residential or commercial — that become clogged due to backups or root intrusion may benefit from hydrojetting or cleaning to prevent further damage. Sewers, similarly, often require preventative maintenance as well as blockage removal.

Clog Busterz aims to provide clients with resolutions to any number of stressful plumbing situations.

As the first person customers usually interact with, Tiernan helps manage communication between all parties. She coordinates scheduling, marketing, and community outreach efforts for the growing business.

When arriving to a job, the first step for a Clog Busterz technician is inspection and diagnostics. This is achieved using cameras designed to locate clogs, leaks, root growth and blockages. After the cause of the problem is identified, Clog Busterz can select the proper solution.

“Our goal is to properly identify the issue and make sure it’s resolved the right way the first time,” said Nelson. “We take pride in providing reliable service and making sure customers feel confident in the work being completed.”

Following job completion, the tech tests the system to make sure everything functions as it should and the issue has been corrected.

All of ClogBusterz’s equipment was purchased recently, specifically to help Delta County with septic and drain problems.

When a person within 60 miles of Escanaba needs assistance tackling or identifying a sewer or drain problem, they can contact Clog Busterz at 906-295-5997 or info@clogbusterzdrainsewerservices.com — but a phone call will probably result in quicker response time than email.

Discounts are available: landlords and veterans receive ten percent off, and coupons are available that provide $25 off a first-time service.

“We wanted to build a company people can rely on when they’re dealing with stressful situations. Our focus is on being responsive, professional and providing quality service to the local community,” LaMarch said.
